Appearing in Beijing on Christmas Eve as if out of a dream, this masked superhero began handing out food, supplies and in some instances cash to the homeless and needy. Who is hiding behind the mask?

The self-described “Rosebud Woman” maintains a public microblog in Chinese and has only been photographed a few times. Her sudden appearance created quite a buzz in the local media and on the Internet, which might also have to do with her unique outfit. Wearing a blue mask, black tights, a cape and a top that accentuates her bust, she is hard not to notice kneeling down next to homeless people distributing food.

This beautiful and mysterious lady was photographed on Christmas Eve 2011 helping the poor in subway stations and outside a bookstore. The woman, who goes by the name “Chinese Redbud Woman,” was seen handing out food, coats and handwarmers to people in need in Beijing.
And by the looks of it, she wants to keep her identity a secret and communicates with the public via a Chinese microblog.

Today emo is commonly tied to both music and fashion as well as the emo subculture. This fashion has at times been characterized as a fad. Early on, emo fashion was associated with a clean cut look but as the style spread to younger teenagers, the style has become darker, with long bangs and emphasis on the color black replacing sweater vests.

In recent years emo has been associated with a stereotype that includes being emotional, sensitive, shy, introverted, or angst-ridden. It has also been associated with depression, self-injury, and suicide.
